“On a beautiful late spring afternoon fifteen years ago, two young people graduated from a prestigious institution. They were both ambitious and full of spunk. Recently, they attended their 15th class reunion.
They had much in common. Both were happily married. Both had two children. And both had started their careers strong, moved around a bit and are gainfully employed. They were enjoying the reunion until they found a difference… a BIG difference. One was a manager of a small department making an average salary. The other was the CEO of a company, earning five times as much, and owned millions in stock and stock options. It wasn’t just about the money… it was also about growth, range of responsibilities, position, power, influence, family harmony…
They say comparison is the thief of joy- but we just can’t help ourselves, can we?
When you look at people earning more, living better, leading the kind of life you know that you should be leading, do you wonder, ”Why not me?” or “What did I do wrong?”
What do some SMART PEOPLE do that makes them MORE SUCCESSFUL?
THE SMART 80/20 SOLUTION...
Many people consider themselves smart. ‘Thinking and feeling smart’ could come from a high IQ, from an elite education or achievements brings 16 psychological factors (we have identified) into play - the "Smart People Problems". Each of these factors could either be enablers or disablers, depending on the individual. For example, an enabling behavior on factor could be that you recognize your strengths and weaknesses, and team with others who complement you. On the other hand, a disabling behavior could be that you refuse to delegate to others, insisting on doing everything by yourself. There are fifteen other such factors.
We have proprietary assessments that can diagnose whether the 16 factors are enablers or disablers for an individual.
Of course, we can guide you to leverage your enablers and mitigate your disablers - so you can become an achiever - successful and better than average. Become a SMART ACHIEVER!
I have worked in the business for over 30 years and reached several highs and lows. I have two master’s degrees, one from MIT, a business degree, an extensive network, knowledge and skills, extensive travel, experiences, and constant learning….and enjoy teaching and mentoring people.
I’ll tell you what you need (not want) to hear – fluff-free, straight talk.
Like many of you, I’ve had successes and failures in life. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on well-known personal development ‘gurus’ (whom you have probably paid as well!). I had one significant failure that almost bankrupted me. I spent years introspecting, talking to friends, personal development ‘gurus’, and accomplished people to figure out why I had failed. Then, it dawned on me. I realized that I WAS THE OBSTACLE – I was impeding my own success – because of my ‘silent killers of success’. I set out to identify, understand and ‘eliminate’ them. I then realized that millions of others have many of the same ‘silent killers of success’ – even very intelligent, smart, and successful people. I can help you identify some of your ‘silent killers of success’.
I then found that my MIT credentials and some early career successes had ‘gotten to my head’. I identified several factors that had impeded my greater success (and caused some failures). I then found that many of these factors also impeded the success of other ‘smart’ people. I hired two psychologists and developed an assessment to help individuals identify whether these 16 factors are enabling or disabling them. The results have been fantastic. I can help you convert more of these 16 factors to enable your greater success. I can help you leverage your smartness to become more successful.
I have reinvented myself many times. MONEY magazine, in a two-page spread, called me “The Comeback Kid” because I’d successfully reinvented myself repeatedly.
After interviewing 120 professionals from 40 countries for a book I’m writing, I reflected on how I became ‘The Comeback Kid’, … and figured out how to ‘become unstoppable’ when faced with uncertainty and setbacks – becoming better whether I had individual successes or failures (antifragile). I also figured out how all of us can make more money – by developing a business mindset and business thinking – whether you are an employer, employee or investor. I’ve developed a process I can teach you how to MAKE MORE MONEY.
I then reflected, researched and figured out why many smart people do not achieve the level of success they expect – and how they can become more successful. I can help many of you smart people figure out WHY you’re not as successful as you could be. I can teach you how to BECOME SMART AND MORE SUCCESSFUL.
